On Thursday, September 1, 2005, Thomas Yoshikawa, M.D. (Provost-COO/Acting President of Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science) presided over the ribbon cutting ceremony for the launching of the University’s College of Science and Health’s Biomedical Sciences degree program and  Teaching and Research Facility.

Drew’s College of Science and Health enters a new dimension in undergraduate science education by officially unveiling an innovative baccalaureate degree program in the Biomedical Sciences.  The matriculation of its inaugural class of freshmen this fall semester will mark a milestone in the educational history of the University and bridges the gap in its pipeline between the Medical Magnet High School and the College of Medicine.
